The Supreme Court has ruled that when someone is arrested through a court-issued warrant, there's no separate need to explain the reasons for the arrest.
The warrant itself, once read aloud, is enough. This decision came in a case where a father claimed his son was illegally arrested without being informed of the grounds.
The Court clarified that only in arrests made without a warrant, police must explain the reasons. Otherwise, a valid warrant satisfies the legal requirement under Article 22(1) of the Constitution.
