The Supreme Court dismissed Advocate Vishal Tiwari's plea seeking a conclusive investigation report from SEBI on the Adani-Hindenburg allegations.
Tiwari argued that the January 2024 order had set a three-month timeline for SEBI to conclude its probe, which he claimed was not followed.
The Court upheld the Registrar’s view that no specific direction or timeline for submitting a final report was given in the January judgment.
The Registrar had cited the absence of "reasonable cause" under Order XV Rule 5 of the Supreme Court Rules, 2013.
Tiwari also cited public concerns raised by a second Hindenburg report, urging SEBI to conclude its probe.
However, the Court found his plea misconceived and denied intervention.
