The Supreme Court has stayed trial proceedings against YouTuber Elvish Yadav in a case involving the alleged use of snake venom at rave parties and for YouTube content.
A bench of Justices MM Sundresh and Joymalya Bagchi issued notice on Yadav’s appeal challenging an Allahabad High Court order that refused to quash the chargesheet.
Yadav faces charges under the Wildlife Protection Act, IPC, and NDPS Act.
His counsel argued that no drugs or snakes were recovered from him and claimed the case was driven by media pressure.
