The Supreme Court quashed an FIR filed by a woman who accused her husband of misrepresenting himself as an eye surgeon to marry her.
The husband was an optometrist and also had leukoderma, a skin condition.
The Court noted WhatsApp chats between the couple clearly showed the woman was aware of both his profession and medical condition before marriage.
Declaring the FIR a misuse of legal process, the Court found no evidence of deception and allowed the plea filed by the husband and his family.
