Supreme Court Seeks Haryana’s Response as Delhi Advocate Lawyer Plea Rape, Sexual Assault by Police

The Supreme Court has issued a four-week notice to the Haryana government on a plea filed by a Delhi-based advocate alleging rape, assault, and verbal abuse by Gurgaon police officials, including the SHO, during a domestic dispute on May 21.

She filed two FIRs, one in Delhi and one in Gurgaon, and requested that a counter‑FIR be clubbed and transferred to the CBI or Delhi Police.

She also sought police protection and disciplinary action against the accused. The Haryana police formed an SIT led by ACP Surinder Kaur to investigate both allegations.
