Supreme Court Dismissed the PIL Seeking CBI/SIT Probe into Karnataka Honey-Trap Scandal

The Supreme Court dismissed a PIL seeking a CBI or SIT probe into the alleged Karnataka honey-trap scandal involving politicians and judges.

Filed by Binay Kumar Singh through lawyer Varun Kumar Sinha, the plea demanded an independent investigation monitored by the SC or a retired judge-led committee.

The Court questioned the petitioner’s locus, noting his residence in Jharkhand, and called the plea politically motivated.

The Court stated that Karnataka is capable of handling its affairs, dismissing the matter as "political nonsense".
