Senior Advocate Vikas Singh has been re-elected as President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) for a fourth term, defeating senior advocates Adish C. Aggarwala and Pradeep Kumar Rai in the 2025 elections held on May 20 under Supreme Court supervision.
As an important step, the Supreme Court directed that the post of SCBA Secretary be reserved for women, leading to Advocate Pragya Baghel's election as the fourth woman Secretary in the association's 75-year history.
Additionally, one-third of the seats in both the Executive Committee and Senior Executive Members were reserved for women candidates.
