Shah Bano’s Daughter Moves Madhya Pradesh High Court Against Release of Film ‘Haq’

Siddiqua Begum, daughter of Shah Bano Begum, has filed a petition before the Madhya Pradesh High Court seeking to halt the release of the upcoming film Haq, which allegedly distorts the facts surrounding her mother’s landmark maintenance case.

The plea claims that the film’s teasers and trailers weave a fictional narrative that misrepresents real individuals and infringes upon the family’s privacy.

Siddiqua Begum has urged the court to restrain the film’s release until the makers make necessary corrections to ensure factual accuracy and protect the dignity of those portrayed.
