
Six judges were sworn in at the Delhi High Court on Monday, raising the working strength to 40 against a sanctioned strength of 60. Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya administered the oath.
Justice V Kameswar Rao returned to Delhi after a brief tenure at the Karnataka High Court. The other judges transferred in are: Justice Anil Kshetarpal (Punjab & Haryana HC), Justice Arun Monga (Rajasthan HC), Justice Om Prakash Shukla and Justice Vivek Chaudhary (Allahabad HC), and Justice Nitin Sambre (Bombay HC).
The appointments were based on a Supreme Court Collegium recommendation cleared by the Centre last week.
