Red Chillies Argues Wankhede’s Reputation Already Publicly Criticized: Delhi High Court

The Delhi High Court heard a defamation suit filed by Sameer Wankhede against Red Chillies Entertainment over the web series The Bads of Bollywood.

The production house contended that Wankhede’s reputation had already faced public ridicule and adverse commentary before the series’ release, contending that the show was a form of situational satire and that the defamation claim was misconceived.

The Court issued a summons to Red Chillies, Netflix, and other respondents and listed the case for further hearing on the maintainability of the claim.
