The Delhi High Court has convicted a man of criminal contempt for threatening a court-appointed Local Commissioner, Advocate Nandini Bali, by placing a pistol on the table during a property inspection.
A Division Bench of Justices Prathiba M. Singh and Rajneesh Kumar Gupta held that such conduct was a deliberate attempt to obstruct the administration of justice and intimidate a court officer.
The Court sentenced the contemnor to one month’s simple imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹2,000.
