The Supreme Court has asked the Union Government whether Ladakh activist Sonam Wangchuk was given a clear opportunity to actually watch the four videos relied upon in his detention under the National Security Act.
The Centre submitted that all 23 videos and related materials were supplied to him and that the viewing process was videographed.
However, the petitioner argued that the endorsement on record only acknowledged receipt of the materials, not that the videos were shown and watched.
The Court questioned why the endorsement did not explicitly state that the videos were shown and seen by Wangchuk.
