Supreme Court Bar Association Terminates Membership of Advocate Who Threw Shoe at CJI BR Gavai

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has terminated Advocate Rakesh Kishore’s membership with immediate effect after he attempted to hurl a shoe at Chief Justice of India BR Gavai in open court.

The act was committed in protest against remarks made by the CJI while dismissing a case concerning the reconstruction of a Lord Vishnu idol in Khajuraho.
