Supreme Court Grants Anticipatory Bail to Ex-IAS Officer Puja Khedkar in Fake Certificate Case

The Supreme Court has granted anticipatory bail to ex-IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, who was accused of submitting fake OBC and PwD certificates to clear the UPSC exam.

Earlier protected by interim bail, the Court made the bail absolute, directing her to submit ₹25,000 cash bail and two sureties, cooperate with the probe, and not tamper with evidence.

The State opposed her bail, citing non-cooperation and serious fraud. 

Khedkar allegedly faked her identity, changed personal details, and misused quotas to exceed UPSC attempt limits. Her selection was cancelled, she’s barred from future exams, and an FIR has been registered.
