
The Supreme Court has issued a bailable warrant against Adv. Mukut Nath Verma for filing a scandalous and frivolous complaint against the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Election Committee members and judges.
The Court stated that these actions invite serious defamatory allegations against the Bar and judges of the Apex Court and also amount to criminal contempt. Furthermore, it was stated that letting go of such actions would undermine the dignity of the esteemed institution.
Adv. Nath has filed a police complaint against certain members of the committee for undertaking actions that tarnished the reputation of the SCBA.
The Court ordered the issuance of bailable warrants for Rs 10,000 to secure his presence on the next date of hearing.
