The Supreme Court has issued a series of directives to strengthen road safety measures across the country.
The Bench instructed all States and Union Territories to ensure strict enforcement of helmet use for two-wheeler riders and to take action against wrong-lane driving.
The Court further directed authorities to curb the use of dazzling headlights and high beams that pose risks to road users. It emphasised consistent monitoring and the launch of public awareness campaigns.
Additionally, States and Union Territories have been ordered to submit compliance and action-taken reports to ensure effective implementation of the safety directives.
