Supreme Court Issues Notice on Plea to Streamline Staff Selection Commission Exams After Repeated Glitches

The Supreme Court issued notice in a writ petition seeking directions to streamline the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) national recruitment exams, ensuring fair and transparent conduct.

The bench of Justices PS Narasimha and AS Chandurkar took cognisance of complaints against Eduquity, recently selected by SSC to conduct computer-based tests, despite its history of mismanagement.

The petition highlighted severe lapses in SSC Selection Post Phase XIII exams, including infrastructure issues, malfunctioning systems, and discrepancies affecting thousands of candidates.

Despite assurances after Exam I, Exam II faced similar problems. With Exam III approaching, candidates sought court intervention to avoid repeated negligence.
