The Supreme Court has ordered a recount of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) election results following complaints from presidential candidates Adish C. Aggarwala and Pradeep Rai regarding discrepancies.
Senior Advocate Vijay Hansaria, representing the Election Committee, informed a bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Dipankar Datta about the issues raised.
The Court ordered that the recounting of votes for the SCBA President and Executive Committee members be conducted under the supervision of the Registrar General, acting as an observer.
The results are not to be declared until the Court reviews the recount report. The process is expected to take 2–3 days.
