Supreme Court Reserves Verdict on Curative Petition of Nithari Case Convict Surendra Koli

The Supreme Court has reserved its judgment on a curative petition filed by Surendra Koli, a convict in the 2006 Nithari murder case.

The convict, who was a domestic help, faced multiple charges, including murder, rape, abduction, and destruction of evidence, most of which were subsequently dismissed.

The current conviction pertains to the murder of a 15-year-old girl. The convict filed the curative petition after the Allahabad High Court acquitted him on 12 other charges.

A Bench led by Chief Justice of India BR Gavai briefly considered the petition and concluded that it deserves further hearing.
