The Supreme Court has clarified that its power of review is limited and cannot be treated as an appeal in disguise.
The Court stressed that review is only permissible to correct an “error apparent on the face of the record” and not for re-arguing or reassessing evidence.
The Court further held that mere disagreement with a judgment or the possibility of multiple interpretations does not justify a review.
The ruling reinforces judicial finality, allowing reconsideration only in cases of grave injustice or constitutional concerns.
