The Supreme Court declined to entertain a plea concerning large-scale flight cancellations and delays by IndiGo, observing that the issue is already pending before the Delhi High Court.
The Court permitted the petitioner to join the proceedings before the High Court and said parallel proceedings should be avoided.
The plea was filed amid disruptions caused by a shortage of pilots and IndiGo’s failure to implement revised Flight Duty Time Limitation norms. The Court noted that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has constituted an expert committee to examine the situation.
It clarified that the petitioner may approach the Supreme Court again if grievances remain unresolved after the High Court’s consideration.
