Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen has filed a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court, challenging the Karnataka High Court's decision to reject his plea to quash an investigation into allegations that he and his brother, Chirag fabricated birth certificates to participate in underage badminton tournaments.
The case involves claims that Lakshya's parents and his coach, associated with the Karnataka Badminton Association, altered their birth certificates to make them appear younger by about 2.5 years to gain benefits.
A departmental inquiry found Lakshya's father guilty, leading to a police report.
The Supreme Court has stayed any coercive actions and will hear the matter on 16 April.
