
The Supreme Court of India and the Supreme Court of Nepal signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 7, 2025, to strengthen judicial cooperation between the two nations.
The MoU, signed in the presence of Chief Justice of Nepal Prakash Man Singh Raut and Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, aims to promote the exchange of legal knowledge, judicial training, and the use of technology in justice delivery.
It also includes provisions for visits, academic programs, and sharing technological advancements to enhance efficiency and reduce case backlogs.
A Joint Working Group will be formed comprising officials from both judiciaries to plan and implement activities to promote and strengthen judicial cooperation.
