Telangana HC calls for law to regulate gated communities' clubhouses

The Telangana HC recommended that the state government enact a law to address issues arising in gated communities, such as the misuse of clubhouses for illegal activities, including gambling, alcohol consumption, and loud music. 

Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy highlighted that permission from the Excise and Prohibition Department is required for liquor consumption and from the police for playing DJ music.

The court directed Cyberabad police to issue advisories to community associations and take action against reported crimes. It also recommended the creation of a dedicated app for lodging complaints while protecting complainants' identities. 

The court instructed the Indu Fortune Fields Villa Owners Association to form a sub-committee to monitor clubhouse activities and report violations to the police.
