The actor Allu Arjun, arrested after a stampede at his Pushpa 2 premiere, faces charges under Section 105 and Section 118(1) r/w 3(5) BNS.
Arjun's lawyer referred to the SC decisions in the Shah Rukh Khan case, where they had granted relief after a stampede at a promotional event and further referred Arnab Goswami Case.
The Telangana HC agreed with the argument, ruling that culpable homicide charges did not apply to Arjun and granted him interim bail for four weeks with a ₹50,000 bond.
The Court following Arnab Goswami Case, cited lack of intent, inadequate crowd control, and the right to life while granting bail.
