Telangana HC Recognizes Social Media as a Valid Platform for Complaints against Service Providers

The Telangana High Court upheld the termination of a catering stall operator’s contract by South Central Railway, emphasizing that social media complaints are a valid mode of registering grievances. 

The operator faced multiple complaints on platform X about poor food quality, excessive pricing, and acts of violence.

The Court concluded that the action taken by the railway authorities was justified, as it followed repeated failures on the part of the contractor to improve the service and rectify the deficiencies.
