Telangana Magistrate Delivers Acquittal Outside Courtroom for Ailing Elderly Couple

Telangana magistrate delivered a judgment outside his Bodhan courtroom for an elderly couple too frail to enter the premises.

The couple has been facing a dowry harassment case filed under Section 498A IPC by their daughter-in-law since 2021. The couple arrived at the court in a rickshaw but were unable to walk to the courtroom due to their physical condition.

Upon learning of their situation, Magistrate Sai Shiva stepped outside to meet them, reviewed the case details on the spot, and acquitted them after 30 hearings. 

The case filed against the elderly couple by their daughter-in-law was found to be false.
