Bombay High Court Directs Security Deployment in Family Court Amid Rising Violence

The Bombay High Court while hearing PIL has ordered increased security at Family Courts across Maharashtra for public safety. Police commissioners and district police heads must ensure security at court premises.

A gunman and bodyguard must be present with the Principal Judge or Judge, along with two male and three female constables.

This decision follows rising incidents of assaults and conflicts in family courts.

The court stressed the safety of judges and staff and directed the High Court's Registrar General to ensure compliance and submit a report within 10 days.
