Police in Anuppur district, Madhya Pradesh, arrested three men, Priyanshu Singh, Devendra Kewat, and Manikesh Singh, for allegedly attacking and threatening Judicial Magistrate First Class Amandeep Singh Chhabra at his official residence in Bhalumada.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, when the accused, purportedly under the influence of alcohol, vandalised fixtures, hurled stones into the courtyard, and issued death threats.
The police stated that the assault was a revenge-motivated act, as the magistrate had previously denied bail to one of the accused six months earlier. The trio has been booked under multiple provisions of the IPC for criminal intimidation, mischief, and assault on a public servant.
