The Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry has suspended Advocate R Balasubramanian from practising law across India for using obscene language against judges and obstructing police from executing a non-bailable warrant against his clients.
The suspension follows a Madras High Court directive recommending criminal proceedings. Balasubramanian was found to have filed misleading documents without client's consent and verbally abused the Court and judicial officers.
The Bar Council cited professional misconduct and stated that he cannot practice until disciplinary proceedings are completed, as his actions tarnish the dignity of the legal profession.
