The Delhi HC has registered a trademark infringement suit filed by Twenty Four Seven Retail Store against Godfrey Phillips India for unauthorized use of its "24Seven."
The retail chain alleges that Godfrey Phillips continued using the "24Seven" trademark despite exiting the retail business in July 2024.
Godfrey Phillips, represented by Senior Advocate Rajiv Nayar, denied the allegation, claiming that it ceased using the "24Seven" trademark in October 2024, after exiting the retail business.
Justice Pushkarna expressed a preference for mediation but recorded Godfrey Phillips' statement that it no longer uses the mark. The next hearing is scheduled for March 2025.
