Consumer Court Fines Travel Club Fails to Book Maharashtra Tour, Asked to Refund ₹1.6 Lakh with Fine

The Ghaziabad District Consumer Forum directed Tag Vacation Club to refund ₹1.6 lakh and pay a ₹5,000 fine for failing to arrange a Maharashtra pilgrimage tour requested by members Shrishti and Ankit Gupta.

Complainants Shrishti and Ankit Gupta joined the club in January 2022 and paid ₹1,65,358. They requested a holiday in September 2023 covering Shirdi, Ellora, and Ajanta, but the club refused, citing a lack of Mumbai resorts and suggesting alternatives.

With no resolution, the forum passed an ex parte order, citing denial of service and ordered a 6% interest from May 14 until full payment is made within 45 days.
