Kerala Bar Council Bars Advocate Beyline Das from Practising After Assault on Junior Lawyer

The Bar Council of Kerala has suspended advocate Beyline Das, a lawyer at Vanchiyoor Court, following serious allegations of physical assault against a junior woman lawyer in his office.

The incident reportedly took place at Das’s office near the court premises in Thiruvananthapuram. The victim sustained facial injuries and is undergoing treatment at the General Hospital.

An FIR was registered under Sections 126(2), 74, and 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. As per the complaint, Das slapped the junior lawyer twice during a dispute, causing visible injuries and severe mental distress.
