A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the Delhi High Court order suspending the jail term of Kuldeep Singh Sengar, expelled from the BJP, in the 2017 Unnao rape case.
The petitioners contend that the High Court ignored the trial court’s direction that Sengar should remain in jail for life and overlooked prosecution evidence demonstrating his brutality, political influence, and misuse of power.
The plea also alleges that Sengar orchestrated the murder of the victim’s father while he was in judicial custody to intimidate the family and obstruct justice.
