The Delhi High Court has been approached by the survivor of the Unnao rape case seeking permission to lead further evidence in the criminal appeal filed by former Uttar Pradesh MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in 2020.
The application has been moved in Sengar’s appeal challenging his conviction and life sentence, which the Court noted is at the final stage of hearing.
The High Court has listed the application for hearing on February 25 and directed the survivor to file relevant documents, including school records, by January 31.
It has also asked Sengar and the Central Bureau of Investigation to file their replies within two weeks.
