Supreme Court Seeks ED’s Reply on Bail Plea of Journalist Mahesh Langa in PMLA Case

The Supreme Court has issued notice on a bail plea filed by journalist Mahesh Langa, arrested in a money laundering case arising from a cheating FIR.

Langa approached the apex court after the Gujarat High Court denied him bail, citing multiple antecedents and allegations of influencing witnesses while in custody.

The Enforcement Directorate accuses him of financial irregularities, while Langa maintains the case is intended to curb his investigative reporting.

The Supreme Court will now examine the allegations and the applicability of PMLA provisions while considering his bail plea.
