Since its launch on July 1, 2023, Uttar Pradesh’s ‘Operation Conviction’ has led to the conviction of 97,158 criminals in under two years, marking a significant shift in the state’s approach to law enforcement under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Focused on fast-track trials and strong prosecution, the initiative disposed of 74,388 out of 1.14 lakh identified cases, with 68 death penalties and over 8,000 life sentences.

The campaign targets organised crime and child protection, securing convictions under the POCSO and ACL Acts.

With an average of 143 cases resolved and 187 convictions daily, the initiative emphasises speedy trials, strong prosecution, and a zero-tolerance stance on crime across the state.
