Vadodara Court Grants Interim Injunction to Inox India Against Cryogas For Copyright Infrigement

A Commercial Court in Vadodara granted an interim injunction to Inox India Pvt Ltd, restraining Cryogas Equipment Pvt Ltd from using its copyrighted proprietary engineering drawings and confidential information in cryogenic and LNG semi-trailers.

The Court, under Order XXXIX Rules 1 & 2 CPC, found a strong prima facie case as the drawings, including spelling mistakes, were almost identical and traced back to former Inox employees now at Cryogas

The Court held that refusal to grant interim protection would result in irreparable loss to Inox, it would enable Cryogas to unlawfully benefit from Inox goodwill, without any legal deterrence.
