Gujarat Court Gives Life Imprisonment to Rapist of 3-year-old girl in Six Months

The Special POCSO Court in Vapi sentenced a 25-year-old man to life imprisonment for raping a three-and-a-half-year-old girl in Valsad.

The crime occurred on August 27, 2024, and the accused, the victim’s neighbor, fled to Jharkhand but was later arrested.

The court imposed a ₹50,000 fine and ordered ₹6 lakh compensation for the victim’s family. The trial was completed in six months and relied on strong evidence, including witness statements and medical reports.

The Court convicted him under BNS Section 65(2) and POCSO Sections 4, 5(m), 6, and 8.
