Justice Vimal Kumar Yadav sworn in as Delhi High Court judge

Retired Judicial officer Vimal Kumar Yadav took oath as a judge of the Delhi High Court. Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya administered the oath during a ceremony at the High Court.

This appointment increased the strength of judges to 44, against the sanctioned 60. The Supreme Court collegium recommended Justice Yadav’s name on July 28, 2025, and the Central Government approved it on August 8, 2025.

This move is part of ongoing efforts to reduce judicial vacancies and ensure faster justice delivery in the capital.
