Kerala PoSH Protection to Be Extended to Female Domestic Workers Under PoSH Act : Women’s Commission

The Kerala Women’s Commission Chairperson, P. Sathidevi, announced that the benefits of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Act will soon be extended to female domestic workers in the state.

Highlighting the vulnerability of women in the domestic sector to sexual harassment, she emphasized the need for legal protection. The Commission is working on mechanisms to include them under the purview of the law.

The announcement was made during a public sitting of the Commission in Thiruvananthapuram, addressing women’s grievances and rights issues.
