The Delhi High Court sentenced YouTuber & advocate Gulshan Pahuja to six months of simple imprisonment for criminal contempt of court after he made scandalous remarks about judiciary.
Awarding the maximum sentence, noting that Pahuja showed no remorse and instead doubled down on his statements during the hearing.
Pahuja, who runs the channel "Fight 4 Judicial Reforms," had explicitly argued that the court's actions were arbitrary, equating arbitrariness (manmarzi) to a dictatorship (taanashahi).
While co-accused lawyers who appeared in his videos were discharged following unconditional apologies, the Court suspended Pahuja's sentence for 60 days to let him appeal before the Supreme Court.
