Delhi High Court Issues Notice to AAP Leaders over Alleged Vilification of Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma

The Delhi High Court has issued notice to Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and other Aam Aadmi Party leaders in a suo motu criminal contempt case over alleged social media posts targeting Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma.

A Division Bench of Justice Navin Chawla and Justice Ravinder Dudeja sought responses from the alleged contemnors and listed the matter for hearing on August 4.

The proceedings arise from allegations that certain online posts and public statements against the judge were defamatory, contemptuous, and aimed at vilifying the judiciary in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.
