ANI Files Defamation Suit Against Mohak Mangal, Kunal Kamra, & Mohammed Zubair Over Extortion Allegations

Asian News International (ANI) filed a defamation suit in the Delhi High Court against YouTuber Mohak Mangal, alleging that his recent video falsely accused the agency of extortion and blackmail. 

The suit also names comedian Kunal Kamra and AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair as defendants for sharing the video on social media.

Mangal claimed that ANI demanded over ₹40 lakh to remove copyright strikes from his YouTube channel.  

ANI contends that the video contains defamatory statements aimed at damaging its reputation and seeks a permanent injunction to remove the content and prevent further dissemination. The matter is likely to be heard on May 29.
